He doesn't care that she's called Sarah and not Salem. Hence the album cover of him staring at a younger looking version of himself.īastard has the least amount of story because Tyler/ Sam is just introduced to Dr. The one pointed out here( and most other places) makes much sense.īut personally I feel like Bastard is the start of the therapy and WOLF is the recollection of this terrible tragedy in the past. I have no idea which theory to go off of. At the end of the day, Tyler is brain-fucking all of us haha, can't wait for the next album. Earl was on 1 track I believe on Bastard, so at that point he was clearly alive, this is another reason why you can only put BASTARD at the beginning and not after WOLF. Even though we know in real life Earl was gone for different reasons, u know Tyler is a hell of a storyteller and was able to use Earl being gone in real life to him being killed off in his albums (you don't hear Earl in GOBLIN because he's dead - away in real life).
So he says he pulled the trigger/her son is dead, but he doesn't mean himself exactly, he means one of his personalities (Sam) killed Earl. Someone said that all of his personalities do things and sometimes when Tyler is back to just controlling his self, he's just left to deal with what's going on/what happened. Earl was clearly killed in WOLF, there's even a track on Goblin that possibly points to the after affect of Earl's death (Nightmare). TC, in WOLF, TC already knew Sam and was introducing WOLF (so possibly saying at this point it could have just been TC and Sam until WOLF was introduced at Camp Flog Gnaw. Bastard has to be in the beginning seeing that it's the 1st time Tyler meets Dr. ending of WOLF fits perfectly with the Beginning of GOBLIN "Tyler you wouldn't kill yourself or anyone else". I like the review, but I made one myself which has it BASTARD > WOLF > GOBLIN.
EXPLANATION OF TYLER THE CREATOR WOLF STORY CRACK
I would also hazard to guess that as soon as Tyler has stopped promoting WOLF (and helped Earl to promote his debut, Doris) they will crack on with their collaborative effort. I would imagine that they will have got started on about half the tracks in this time, and finished none. Tyler and Earl started work on their first joint album, which Tyler has said will be called EARLWOLF, about a month before Earl was whisked away to a school in Samoa by his mother. The fact that Tyler's character does not kill off Earl Sweatshirt during his killing spree at the end of Goblin promotes the idea that the gap between Goblin and Sam is Dead will be filled by an Earl Sweatshirt/Tyler, The Creator collaboration album. Tyler does like to release sections of the story in the wrong order to confuse us, but we must guess that during the third session Tyler manages to extract himself from his world of alter egos to the point where he can get rid of them for good in "Sam is Dead". Obviously, we are missing part of the story. During the video, we see Tyler's character shoot other versions of himself three timesĭoes this signify Tyler killing off some of his alter egos? I presume that the three versions of himself that he shoots are Samuel, Tron Cat and Dr. The lyrics are fairly ambiguous and difficult to derive meaning from, but the release of the video explained more.
Well, The Odd Future Tape Volume 2 has a song on it called "Sam is Dead".
Tyler hasn't released any more albums, I hear you think.
